Yeah, I decided to go through with it. I finally bought one of the Amiibos and it's appropriate since I got one of Link, the Hero of Time.
Amiibos are figurines that can be used for various functions in Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. For Smash Bros. on the Wii U, they give you access to a version of the character that you can customize to your liking, providing stats, moves and heck it can level up and become stronger. For Mario Kart 8, you can get different outfits for your Miis to use when you race. It provides a whole new slew of possibilities and I plan to collect them all.
