Power Rangers Headcanon Part 1 - Season 1

After rewatching Linkara's improved History of Power Rangers on YouTube, it's making me want to come up with my own headcanon for all the seasons of Power Rangers from Mighty Morphin all the way to Ninja Steel. I don't know why but I'm the kind of person that wants to get creative with crap like that.

With the original Power Rangers Season 1, everything is as it is. No need to change anything except on how Tommy becoming the Green Ranger. The five-part Green with Evil may have been awesome but I feel that it kind of rushed things with Rita just choosing Tommy out of the blue and becoming evil. In my headcanon, Tommy would make his appearance early on in the first season and overtime it would build up. Rita soon notices and hatches a plan to have Tommy be her own evil Power Ranger, using magic to slowly corrupt him. Once Green with Evil starts, Rita strikes, offering Tommy the chance to serve her in exchange for anything he wanted. He accepts and becomes the Green Ranger and in turn, gives the Rangers a lot of hell. The rangers would eventually find out who he is and they work to stop Rita and free Tommy, who would eventually become the sixth ranger. It then sets up another plot involving a candle made out of power-siphoning wax that she could use to strip Tommy of his powers. Rita had it in case of the event that she would lose Tommy to the rangers and made worse is the fact that it's tied to Tommy's life force. Tommy would help the rangers only when things get tough until the Green Candle storyline. The rangers try to get the candle but failed so Tommy passes the coin to Jason to prevent Rita from not only getting the powers but also to save Tommy's life. Tommy leaves the team after losing his powers with the five rangers having to continue the fight until Rita unleashes Cyclopsis. Doomsday occurs and the rangers save the day. They head to face Rita but she escapes, knowing that she will return... until Season 2 when Lord Zedd comes and all hell breaks loose.

The season is 40 episodes long with the extra 20 being like a Season 1.5 that is set inbetween the first and second seasons. In Season 1.5, Rita decides to do her usual schtick of trying to defeat the Rangers but to no avail. Tommy does return as the Green Ranger but only temporary due to the fact that his connection had been severed and he needs a bit of time to adjust. By the end of Season 1.5, Tommy loses his powers again and the rangers defeat Rita and send her packing... this time for good until Lord Zedd shows up in Season 2.

Season 1 is left as is because I didn't really want to change much of it. The only change I wanted to make was with Green with Evil since although the five parter was awesome, I felt that how Tommy should be handled during it should be better. Besides, I also want to make Rita be a villain that plans ahead and yes, she is an Empress of Evil but at times I feel she should have a contingency plan or two in case something goes wrong. And another headcanon I wanted to include is of Tommy, especially after Green with Evil mostly due to the fact that he has problems trusting the other rangers after what he did to them. It would work well.

Season 2... oh that would be interesting to do a personal headcanon.
